Infants
Even in the early months of life, infants are
experiencing their physical and social environment.
Long before they can move around, they explore with
their eyes, attend to sounds, and manipulate objects
within their grasp.
We provide many materials that support
their development. Play materials we provide for
birth to six months include a range of interesting
things to see, hear, and touch, materials that
support the infant's developing self-awareness;
materials that allow the infant to produce effects
and materials that are safe.
For infants seven months through twelve months we
provide a range of interesting things to explore and
manipulate; materials that allow the infant to
produce interesting effects; and materials that
reward early attempts at mastery.
Our infant room schedules are individualized,
allowing each infant to eat and sleep according to
their own schedules. The infants are offered many
different activities throughout the day that
encourage fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional
and cognitive development. Diaper changing occurs
every two hour or as needed throughout the day.
Also, weather permitting, the children go outside
daily.

Toddler
For our young toddlers, we have created a classroom
schedule which provides the children with the
security of routine and consistency, two factors of
which children thrive on. Though the class is on the
same schedule in terms of meals and sleeping, the
individual needs of each child are constantly being
met.
Our curriculum creates a foundation for all areas of
development in an age appropriate manner. We provide
open-ended, multi-sensory approach to activities.
Through the activities the children will gain
development in mobility, autonomy, self-help skills
and they will discover their own, unique creativity.
For our older toddlers, up to age 2.9, the
curriculum is designed to promote social development
in an atmosphere where self-esteem is a high
priority. Opportunities to explore novel materials
and enjoy new experiences while developing
fine/gross motor skills as well as language skills
are provided daily. With their burgeoning capacities
and interests, toddlers enjoy many kinds of play
materials, which support their social, cognitive,
and physical development.

Preschool
The curriculum in our preschool program is
developmentally based acknowledging the fact that
each child has his or her own rate and pattern of
growth physically, socially, emotionally and
intellectually. The readiness of a child is not
hurried. Instead, our curriculum gives each child
opportunity to explore new surroundings, materials,
and experiences, in an atmosphere of love and
understanding. Our curriculum will also provide
opportunities for the further development of
auditory, visual, language, fine motor, gross motor,
social emotional, and self-help skills. These
learning experiences are designed to challenge each
child's curiosity, encourage discovery, satisfy
social and emotional needs, and promote the
development of healthy self-concepts.

Pre-Kindergarten
In our Pre-K program, the classroom is set up to be
developmentally appropriate for the children
enabling them to master skills at their own pace.
Children will grow and develop socially/emotionally
through being a part of the classroom. Children are
provided with ample opportunities to interact with
each other during independent choice time, circle
time and planned activity time. Children will grow
and develop cognitively by being active participants
in the classroom. Children learn by doing. The
materials and mediums are changed frequently to
foster creative expression. They are exposed to
colors, letters, shapes and numbers while
participating in various activities.
Children will explore the concept of cause
and effect, learn observation skills, and learn how
to record information using charts and graphs.
Children will grow and develop language skills by
always being encouraged to use their words for
expression. Their fine motor skills will be
strengthened and developed while manipulating
materials and while participating in different
activities such as drawing, stringing beads, cutting
with scissors, and building with blocks. Gross motor
skills will be developed through exercise while
riding tricycles, playing basketball, or tumbling on
mats in the gym and through outdoor play.
