The Preschool Program at Mountainside
The curriculum in our preschool program is developmentally based acknowledging the fact that each child has his or her own rate and pattern of growth physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. The readiness of a child is not hurried. Instead, our curriculum gives each child opportunity to explore new surroundings, materials, and experiences, in an atmosphere of love and understanding. Our curriculum will also provide opportunities for the further development of auditory, visual, language, fine motor, gross motor, social emotional, and self-help skills. These learning experiences are designed to challenge each child's curiosity, encourage discovery, satisfy social and emotional needs, and promote the development of healthy self-concepts.
